Forbes releases top 10 richest Indian list, Mukesh Ambani tops

According to Forbes magazine Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani is the richest Indian with capital of $21 billion. Steel giant Lakshmi Mittal comes in second position with a fortune of $16 billion and Wipro head Azim Premji  is countries third most richest person with $12.2 billion.

Among the top ten includes industrialist Dilip Shanghvi, Adi Godrej, the Hinduja Brothers and Kumar Mangalam Birla.

India has added 4 new billionaires this year and the total goes to 61.

Here’s the top 10 Richest Indian list:

1. Mukesh Ambani  (Reliance Industries) – $ 21 billion         

2. Lakshmi Mittal (ArcelorMittal)  – 16 billion        

3. Azim Premji (Wipro Limited) – 12.2     billion    

4. Pallonji Mistry (Shapoorji Pallonji & Company) – 9.8 billion     

5. Dilip Shanghvi  (Sun Pharma) –  9.2 billion

6. Adi Godrej & family (Godrej Group)  – 9 billion

7. Savitri Jindal & family (O.P. Jindal Group) –  8.2 billion  

8. Shashi & Ravi Ruia (Essar Group) – 8.1 billion

9. Hinduja Brothers  (Hinduja Group) –     8 billion    

10 Kumar Birla (Aditya Birla Group)  – $ 7.8 billion
