Amazon Makes Entry In Indian Market with Junglee.com

World’s biggest online retail portal Amazon.com enters in the Indian market with Junglee.com. The site goes live today morning. It says, “Junglee is an online shopping service by Amazon which enables customers to find and discover products from online and offline retailers in India and from Amazon.com.”

According to Junglee.com customers can find over 1.2 crore products and 14,000 brands from their retail partners like Homeshop18, UniverCell, Hidesign, Gitanjali, The Bombay Store, Fabindia, Bata India Limited, Dabur Uveda, Microsoft India Store, Reebok, and Amazon.com.

Recently PTI reported  that Amazon will set up a facility in Hyderabad and employ over 3,000 people.

India is the the third largest Internet market after US and China with nearly $ 10 bn business in 2011.
