North Korea responds to USA’s sanctions

Officially responding to the sanctions imposed by the United States, North Korea on Sunday lambasted the decision taken by the United States, calling the sanctions inveterate repugnancy and hostility toward the DPRK.

Kim Jong UnOn Friday, the United States sanctioned North Korea for the cyber-attack on Sony Pictures Entertainment, calling them the first aspect of their response.

A North Korea official said, “The policy persistently pursued by the US to stifle the DPRK, groundlessly stirring up bad blood towards it, would only harden its will and resolution to defend the sovereignty of the country.”

The state-run news agency KCNA quoted the official as saying, “The persistent and unilateral action taken by the White House to slap sanctions against the DPRK patently proves that it is still not away from inveterate repugnancy and hostility toward the DPRK.”

The United States says it has evidence against North Korea, blaming it for the cyber-attack. North Korea, however, has repeatedly denied the accusations.
