‘Agneepath’ Creates Record, Earns Rs 25 Crore On The First Day

The magic of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan continues. Debutant director Karan Malhotra’s tribute to Old Agneepath seems winning hearts of cine-goers. Unlike the first one, which only acclaimed critical admiration, this time around the new ‘Agneepath’ gets not only thumbs up from critics but from the movie lovers too. Agneepath (2012) opened to full houses on January 26.

Karan Johar produced  Agneepath created history on the collection on the first day of its release. It collected whooping Rs.25 crore on the first day, beating the collections of recent blockbusters like “Bodyguard and “Ra.One”.

Salman Khan’s “Bodyguard” earned Rs.22 crore on the opening day and Shah Rukh Khan’s “Ra.One” collected Rs.18 crore.
