The tale of staggering market

This New Year is not a very good start as the markets are approaching the biggest fall in just 3 weeks, chasing the lower global shares.

The sensex crashed over 588.15 points to 27,254.17 and the NSE Nifty fell below the 8,300 mark in the opening trade on Tuesday.

So, what went in this down on:

Investors are jittery over the falling oil prices and that this stretched depression can result in a weaker global economy.

The fear held the financial markets in Monday as the oil dripped again below $50/barrel, first time to occur in 5 years, disturbing not only the energy stocks but also the entire stock market.

The total investor wealth has also tumbled over by Rs. 2.75 lakh crore on the Bombay stock Exchange on Tuesday.

The Euro has also hit its lowest point against the US Dollar swapping at just 1.19$/Euro.
