Apple to buy chipmaker PrimeSense at $350 mnAccording to the latest news Apple Inc is set to acquire Israel-based PrimeSense at around $350 million.  

PrimeSense develops chip which allow three-dimensional machine vision and if you remember, Microsoft’s Xbox Kinect uses the same chip in the gaming console.

“Apple buys smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans,” a company spokeswoman Kristin Huguet told Reuters via email.

Last year Apple bought another Israeli company Anobit.
