Veteran Bollywood Actor Joy Mukherjee Passed Away

Veteran Bollywood Actor Joy Mukherjee Passed Away today at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. He was 73 and was suffering from thalassemia.

Joy Mukherjee belonged to the famous Mukherjee family of Bollywood. His father was great filmmaker and co-founder of Filmalaya Studios, Sashadhar Mukherjee and his mother was Sati Devi, sister of Dadamani Ashok Kumar. He was married to Neelam Mukherjee and had two sons and a daughter.

He will be cremated on Saturday around 10 a.m. in Versova.

Joy Mukherjee had started his film career with “Love in Simla” in 1960. His other popular movies were “Shagird”, “Love In Tokyo”, “Ziddi”, “Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon” and “Ek Musafir Ek Hasina.
