Veteran Actor And Wrestling Champion Dara Singh Passed Away

Veteran Actor and wrestling champion Dara Singh died on Thursday Morning at his home in Mumbai. He was 84.

Veteran actor Dara Singh passed away today in Mumbai

His doctor RK Aggarwal said, “He died due to cardiac respiratory arrest at around 7:30 am.”  He had suffered critical brain damage following a cardiac arrest last week and was in ICUsince 7th of this month. Yesterday night he was shifted to his residence from the Kokilaben hospital.

The Commonwealth wrestling champion Dara Singh Randhawa was born in a Jat Sikh family on 19th November 1928 at Dharmoochak  village in Amritsar. He debut in acting in 1962. He was last seen in  Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Jab We Met’ in 2007.

He was also a member of Rajya Sabha. BJP had nominated him for the period of 2003 to 2009.
