Pakistani singer Reshma passed away

Legendary Pakistani folk singer Reshma passed away in a Lahore hospital on Sunday morning after suffering from throat cancer. She was in coma stage for almost over a month. She was 66.

Pakistani singer Reshma passed awayReshma, who was born in Bikaner, Rahasthan, in 1947 before migrating to Pakistan, was very popular in India too. She sang for Indian film industry as well as for Pakistani films.

Her first recording at the age of 12, “Laal Meri” became an instant hit.

Some of her popular songs are: “Dama Dam Mast Kalandar”, “Hai O Rabba nahion lagda dil mera”, “Sun charkhe di mithi mithi cook mahiya meinu yaad aunda”, “Wey main chori chori”, “Ankhiyan no rehen de ankhyan de kol kol” and “Lambi Judai”.
