Actor Saeed Jaffrey passes away at 86

Renowned Bollywood actor Saeed Jaffery has passed away on Sunday. He was 86 and survived by three children and wife Jennifer Jaffrey.

Saeed Jaffery had acted in several British and Indian movies including “Gandhi”, A “Passage to India”, “Masoom”, “Shatranj Ke Khiladi”, “Henna”, “Ram Teri Ganga Maili”, “Judaai”, “Ajooba” and “Dil”.

He had worked with several noted actors including Rishi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Naseeruddin Shah, Ben Kingsley, Sean Connery, Michael Caine and Pierce Brosnan. He worked with direcotors like Satyajit Ray, James Ivory and Richard Attenborough. He was also the first Indian to take Shakespearean theatre tour to the United States.
