Dhoom 3 creates history by crossing 500 crores at BO

Yash Raj Films’ new action-thriller Dhoom: 3 has broken previous Bollywood records and rewritten the history after crossesing Rs 500 crores at the box office.
Since the release on December 20 last year, Aamir Khan starrer Dhoom 3 has collected whooping Rs 501.35 crore ($83.56 million) worldwide.

Confirming the report Yash Raj Films (YRF) has issued a statement on Monday.

“Dhoom 3 continues to create history at both the Indian and overseas box office. It is now officially the first Indian film to cross Rs 500 crore worldwide,” read the statement.

In the domestic box office the film has collected Rs 351.29 crore and in the overseas market Dhoom 3’s net collection was Rs 150.06 crore ($25.01 million).

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, Dhoom 3 also features Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopr in lead roles.
