Cafes in India

Want to go on a date with someone and confused about where to go,just look for a cafe around you and your date is sorted. India, today is famous for many things but out of those ‘Cafes’ are something unique and fascinating. In every city you will find at least 20-30 cafes. In big cities like Mumbai and Delhi the count goes even higher. On normal days when people want to chill after a tiring day and want to hang out with friends, they go to a cafe. The word ‘Cafe’ is a French word which means ‘coffee house’.

Cafes are coffee houses which sell coffee and tea with some light snacks but now time has changed. Now the cafes provide food, proper food as in lunch and dinner. There are some cafes which are open from 12 pm to 11 pm as well. Cafes provide utmost security to their customers and try to satisfy them in every way possible. Cafes are again differentiated into a few types.

  • Bakery cafes for cakes and snacks.
  • Student cafes which recently came into trend. Cafes are specifically student-friendly.
  • Corporate cafes for the corporate world.

Indian Coffee House, Kolkata

Indians in recent times spent most of their time outside their houses and cafes are mostly the places where they visit. Youngsters have their ‘addas’ where they sit and spend most of their valuable time. Arguably cafes are the places which provide warmth and homeliness to everyone. Cafe culture is not only giving rise to people’s gathering but is also helping entrepreneurs as well. New varieties of cafes are being created and if people like it the entrepreneur succeeds. In this way many people become employed again.

More the gaming culture, the more the gaming cafes. Cafes are turned into libraries or get-together places for our youth. Starbucks and Cafe Coffee Day are some of the famous cafes of our country. People love to spend their time with their friends in cafes and the cafes haven’t disappointed them yet.
