Sony launches waterproof Xperia Z1

Sony launched its new flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z1, at IFA 2013 in Berlin on Wednesday.

Sony launches waterproof Xperia Z1One of the most anticipated smartphone of the year, Xperia Z1 comes with 20.7 megapixel camera and it is a waterproof and dustproof device. Sony claims that the camera is three times “clear image zoom” with zero loss of image quality. It provides clear and crisp images even in bad or low light. Xperia Z1’s 20.7 megapixel camera takes 61 images in 2 seconds. Also Sony is expected to introduce Cybershot QX100 and QX10 ‘Lens-Style Cameras’ which can be integrated to any Android or iOS smartphone.

Aluminum framed, Xperia Z1 features 5-inch full HD screen. It has 16 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 64 GB via MicroSD slot and 2 GB RAM. Xperia Z1 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core 2.2 Ghz processor and it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The phone will be available in black, white and purple colours.

Xperia Z1 comes with 3000 mAh battery and supports 4G LTE. It has integrated PlayMemories Online, a cloud storage for image and video service for Album application.
