LG unveils flagship Android Smartphone G2

Korean Electronics giant LG has announced its flagship handset G2 smartphone in New York on Wednesday. The LG G2 is LG’s most advanced smartphone so far, and it seems to give tough competition to Samsung, Sony and Nokia.

LG G2 comes with 5.2 Full HD IPS touchscreen with 1080×1920 pixels resolution. G2 is powered by 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad Krait processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. It has internal 32 GB or 16 GB storage with no micro SD card slot. It has 2GB RAM.

The LG G2 display is startling and there are no buttons anywhere other than on the back. By “the “Rear Key concept” LG provides buttons on back which controls power, camera, volume and others features.

LG G2 has 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2.1-megapixel front camera. And it comes with 3,000 mAh battery to provide better talk-time.

“Innovation for the sake of innovation is old school. We wanted to better understand a product from a consumers point of view. In this regard, LG believes today’s innovation must resonate with consumers – the LG G2 makes an effort to understand and learn human behavior,” LG CEO Dr Jong-Seok Park said.

LG G2 will be available at the end of this month and it is expected to be priced around Rs. 30,000.
