Lenovo launches its first Windows 8.1 tablet

Chinese electronic giant Lenovo has unveiled its first Windows 8.1 tablet, Miix 2.

Running on Intel’s new quad-core Bay Trail Atom processor, Miix2 comes with an 8-inch display with 1280 x 800 screen resolution. It has 32/64 GB internal storage and 2GB RAM.

The 8.35mm thick, Miix 2 weighs 350g and has 5 megapixel primary camera at the rear and a 2-megapixel camera at the front.

Lenovo Miix 2 has uncanning similarities look wise with Apple ipad mini, and is set to give competition to small Windows-based devices like of Dell’s Venue tablet.

Lenovo will start shipping the phone later this month. While 32GB version will be available for $299 and the 64GB will come at $349.
