Budget Tablet PC In India – The Cheapest Option For Gadget Lovers

Over the last few months the Indian market observes a series of budget tablet launches. Apple’s iPad is still unbeatable as far as quality is concerned but that is not affordable by many gadget lovers. And therefore the popularity of these budget tablets is growing very fast. Many big companies have stepped into the venture of making budget Tablet PC. Most of the budget tablets runs Android operating system and offer a cheap range. Some of the best budget tablets in India are:

Indian government unveils world’s cheapest tablet ‘Aakash’ recently priced only Rs. 2999/-. Aakash tablet is a Datawind Ubislate 7 running Froyo (Android), and packing a 366MHz Connexant CPU, 256MB of RAM, 2GB of storage and a 7-inch screen with 800 X 480 resolutions.

Mercury launched its first Android tablet mTab priced at Rs 9,499/-. It has a 7-inch WVGA TFT LCD touch display, G sensor screen rotation for 3D G-games and weighs mere 400 grams. The tablet runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Reliance Communications (RCom) entered the tablet market with the launch of Android-based Reliance 3G Tab for Rs 12,999/-. The Reliance 3G tablet has a 7-inch touchscreen with Android 2.3 OS. The device has 512 MB RAM and a micro SD card which can support up to 32 GB data.

Beetel Teletech (Bharti Enterprises) launched Beetel Magiq, a low-cost Android tablet. The seven-inch tablet, which runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo), has been priced at Rs 9,999/-. Magiq has two 2Megapixel camera and supports phone calls through a compatible Bluetooth headset.

iBall launched its Android 2.3 powered tablet, iBall Slide.The tablet is priced at Rs. 13995/-. iBall slide runs on Android 2.3 operating system. It comes with a 7-inch capacitive touch screen, 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, 2 megapixel camera, 8 GB internal memory (expandable to 32 GB), WiFi, Bluetooth and HDMI output.

Last year Infibeam began their venture in tablet by bringing their own gadgets Infibeam Phi in the market.  Infibeam Phi is incidentally India’s first Tablet PC and it runs on both versions Android & Windows. Infibeam Phi is a 7-inch ultra-thin touchscreen tablet with ARM9 600MHz Processor. It has 256MB RAM, 8GB built-in, and up to 32GB SD card. Android Infibeam Phi comes at price of Rs.14,999/- and Infibeam Phi: Windows CE comes at Rs.9999/-.

Huawei’s SmaKit S7 Android tablet is another android budget tablet in India. The 7-incher boasts an 800 x 480 pixel resolution, 720p playback, 3G connectivity, plus a dock with HDMI out, two USB 2.0 ports, and two microSDHC slots. SmaKit S7  is available in India at Rs. 14,000/- .

Taiwanese company MSI recently launched MSI Enjoy Tablet PC for Rs. 13,999/- in India. Last year MSI had launched the WindPad tablet that runs on Windows 7. Two versions of MSI Enjoy Tablet models come with 1.2 GHz Processor and runs on Android 2.3 operating system. MSI Enjoy has dual camera with a 2 Megapixel resolutions.

HCL ME Tablet AE7-A1 is incorporated with 7 inches touch screen display of 800 x 480 pixel resolution which is based on Android 2.2 OS powered by Low Power ARM 11 processor. The HCL ME Tablet AE7-A1 has 256MB RAM and 2GB storage capacity extendable up to 8GB through SD card. Price Rs. 11,000/-.

Other popular budget tablets are HeroTab (8500), Beetel MagiQ BMQ-01 ( 9000), Magnum Pepper (5000), Binatone Home Surf ( 9000), C2K (7000).
