Pakistan beat India by 6 wickets in 1st ODI

Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s unbeaten century proved not enough as the arch rival Pakistan beat India by 6 wickets in the 1st ODI on Sunday at the Chepauk stadium in Chennai.

India made a terrible start as its top 5 batsmen out for just 29. 4 out of 5 batsmen were bowled by pacer Junaid Khan. Gautam Gambhir (8), Virender Sehwag (4), Virat Kohli (0), Yuvraj Singh (2) and Rohit Sharma (4), did not even able to make double figures.

India managed to score 227 at the loss of six wickets courtesy their captain Dhoni’s unbeaten 113. It was one of his best innings under pressure. Suresh Raina made 43.

But at the end, it was not Dhoni’s or India’s day.  Nasir Jamshed and Younis Khan kept their nerves and easily chased passed India’s target with 11 balls to spare. Nasir Jamshed made unbeaten 101 and Younis Khan scored 58.
