Mumbai Indians makes it to the finalMumbai Indians became the second Indian team to reach the final of the 2013 edition of the Champions League T20 as they beat Trinidad and Tobago in a comprehensive fashion by 6 wickets. Dwayne Smith was adjudged man-of-the-match for his match-winning knock of 59 from just 38 balls, well supported by Sachin Tendulkar, who scored a well-made 35 from just 31 balls.

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Smith set the tone for the rest of the Mumbai Indians innings when they came on to bat chasing Trinidad’s 153/5 in 20 over, thanks to a blistering knock of 62 by Even Lewis. The opening set the platform for the rest of the Mumbai batsmen before Smith got castled by a Sunil Narine brilliance. Narine then picked up the wicket of Ambati Rayudu to put Mumbai in a spot of bother at 96 for the loss of three wickets. However Rohit Sharma played a responsible innings to take his team to a safe position before Narine broke through his defense with a pitch of a delivery. Mumbai Indians completed the chase in 19.1 over.

Mumbai Indians are now up against Rajasthan Royals in the final. While the Royals are yet to lose a single encounter in this competition, Mumbai Indians are also beginning to peak just at the right moment. It will be a battle of evens when the two giants of the Indian Premier League come to face each other in todays final at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi.
