Karnataka HC Stays AITA’s Ban On Bhupathi-Bopanna

A temporary relief for Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna after the Karnataka High Court has stayed the two year ban imposed by All India Tennis Association on both the Tennis players. Recently AITA banned both players from playing for India till June 30, 2014 on disciplinary grounds.

The ban comes after Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna protested publicly against the selection process by AITA for the London Olympics.

Angry Bhupathi lashed out at the AITA and its chief Anil Khanna for “detrimental for the Indian tennis” at a press conference and took the legal action against AITA challenging the ban.
