Dhoni wins ICC's People's Choice Award

Indian Cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has won the ICC’s People’s Choice Award for 2013. He is the second Indian after Sachin Tendulkar to receive this award.

The other players who were included in this category are: Michael Clarke, Alastair Cook, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.

“This is one of the awards that has given me tremendous satisfaction, since it comes from the key stakeholders of the game – the fans,” Dhoni said expressing his happiness.

“Recognition from the people who support and encourage us day in and day out only inspires me to put in that much more and go the extra mile for them. I would like to thank all those people who have voted in my favour,” Dhoni added.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
