US Open 2014: Tough draw for Djokovic, Serena, easy for Federer and Serena

With defending champion Rafael Nadal skipping this year’s US open due to injury, former champions and world number one Novak Djokovic facing tough draw in the men’s single. He will face Eighth-seeded Andy Murray in a potential tough US Open quarter-final.

However Murray has to face dark horse ninth seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the round of 16.

Former US open champion Roger Federer, however, finds easy path in the draw. The second-seed will face seventh-seeded Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov in the possible quarter-final clash.

Defending champion and world number one Serena Williams could meet eighth seed Ana Ivanovic in the quarter-finals. It would be Serena’s chance to take revenge as the Ivanovic ousted her in the fourth round of the Australian Open earlier this year.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
