1st Test: Australia 316 for 7 at stumps on day One

 

Michael Clarke made unbeaten 103, R Ashwin’s took six wickets, Australia made 316 for loss of 7 wickets – this is the summery of day one of the first test between India and Australia.

Debutant Moises Henriques scored 68 under pressure and put 151 runs partnership with Clarke and rescue Australia after they struck at 153 for loss of 5 wickets.

Ashwin took six wickets for 88.

Cheteshwar Pujara took a simple bat-pad catch when Clark was batting on 39 at forward short-leg but umpire Kumar Dharmasena turned down the appeal.
