Rahul Gandhi slept during Price Rise Debate in Parliament

Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi was allegedly seen sleeping during a price rise debate in Parliament on Wednesday.

“Rahul Gandhi was seen sleeping in Parliament during a debate on price rise. That’s what the Congress was doing during their 10 yr rule,” BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain tweeted the image.

Defending Rahul Gandhi embarrassed congress said it was “factually incorrect”.

Congress leader Rajiv Shukla said, “In my years in Parliament, I have seen many MPs take what they call catnaps. Sometimes people shut their eyes and listen to debate very carefully.”

“Even Vajpayee used to keep his eyes closed while carefully listening to the debate at the same time,” he added.

The footage from Lok Sabha TV’s camera at around 12:33 pm showed Rahul Gandhi who was seating behind CPI-M’s P Karunakaran, has been napping. Before that he was seen yawning.
