Narendra Modi calls Nitish Kumar ‘arrogant’, hits out at Rahul too

Hitting out at Bihar Chief Minister, BJP’s prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Thursday attacked Nitish Kumar over his (mis)handling Patna blasts and accused him of being uncaring and arrogant.

Modi said after the horrifying attack on Congress leaders in Darbha, Raman Singh had personally visited the family of victims and displayed sympathy. But Nistish Kumar did not show any compassion after the Patna blast.

“But on the other hand, such a big terror attack on BJP rally, but forget regret the Bihar govt laid out a chappan bhog banquet. Bihar Chief Minister didn’t show any remorse for Patna blasts. He was arrogant and smiling while speaking about the issue…That’s the difference between a sensitive leader (Dr Raman Singh) and an uncaring (Bihar) government,” Modi said.

“Raman Singh met victims, set up an investigation committee (to probe Maoist attack that killed top Congress leaders). In Bihar, the government was behaving as if it was happy. See how a sensitive chief minister behaves and how an arrogant chief minister behaves.”

Continuing addressing Rahul as “shahzada (prince)”, Modi today attacked him fiercely. He said Rahul Gandhi pays Rs 200 for water and wants poeple to live on Rs 26.

“The shahzada in Delhi is hoodwinking people by saying they have brought the food security law; food security was first implemented by the BJP government in Chhattisgarh,” Modi said.

“If there are five people in your family, can you feed yourselves with Rs. 26 a day? The people in Delhi say that… the shehzada who pays Rs.100-200 for a bottle of water in 5-star hotels says that,”

“I salute the people of Chhattisgarh for rejecting Congress government. Vajpayeeji formed a separate ministry for tribals in Union cabinet, while Congress doesn’t care about the tribals,” Modi said.

Rahul GandhiAttacking Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Modi said, “Madam is in Chhattisgarh today. She says her government doesn’t talk but acts – yes, we saw coal scam action. Is what she says correct? Without even speaking they do so much… scams under the ground, scams in the air – all scams happen so quietly. And what they say they don’t do.”

“Why did Chhattisgarh progress while Uttarakhand and Jharkhand were left behind? Because Congress ruled the two states,” he added.

“Development journey of Chhattisgarh should not stop. The pace at which it is developing must continue…vote for a government that does good for you and your future generations and that can be done by BJP & Dr Raman Singh. Do not vote for caste or creed but vote for development,” he said.

The election is scheduled to be held in Chattisgarh on November 11.
