Mayawati blames Congress for polls disaster

BSP chief Mayawati has blamed Congress-led UPA for BJP’s decisive and historic win in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

“The verdict has shown that the people voted against the UPA. This affected our party as well. As far as Congress and SP are concerned, everyone knows they did not contest against each other in some seats,” Mayawati said.

MayawatiMayawati also slammed BJP for his ‘dividing politics’ in Uttar Pradesh.

“Everyone knows what Amit Shah did in Uttar Pradesh and how he tried to divide the votes in the name of religion. Voters have been taken in by Modi’s claims and propaganda,” Mayawati said.

“In comparison to 2009 elections, we received more votes. Our vote share has not gone down. The Dalit community and my party is concerned that the Muslims and upper caste voters associated with us were misled and did not vote for us, because of which our party could not get a single seat in these elections. But even now, the number of votes we received has not been affected,” she said.

“All the strate gems and devices used by the BJP were used to attract Dalit votes. My party workers gave their best fight. I thank Dalit voters who, in these trying circumstances, gave us their votes,” she added.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
