West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee is expected to meet Planning Commission deputy chairperson Montek Singh Ahluwalia on April 9 to push for bailout package for Bengal.
Mamata’s next week Delhi trip will focus on West Bengal’s development project as well as she is expected to meet political leaders across party spectrum to discuss her future moves.
“The CM is not packing a begging bowl in her suitcase. She will present a strong case and hard facts about rapid strides Bengal has made in the last 20 months in the fiscal and social infrastructure,” said Trinamool spokesperson Derek O’ Brien.
Banerjee will address a press conference on April 10 in New Delhi.
