Digvijaya Singh slams Chidambaram’s son

The ideological tussle continues in Congress, as the party general secretary Digvijaya Singh slammed former finance minister P Chidambaram’s son Karti and asked him to leave if he did not believe in Congress’s core ideology.

A day before, Karti Chidambaram criticised the party high command over autonomy. He said he was worried about the future of the Congress in Tamil Nadu. Chidambaram said that due to the lack of power in decision making Karti ChidambaramCongress was facing problem in Tamil Nadu.

“We need to revisit observer style of functioning. Tamil Nadu congress requires more autonomy. Solution cannot come from Delhi. I would like state unit to be like Kerala. It is an independent strong unit. They run unit in autonomous manner,” he said.

Earlier this week senior leader GK Vasan left the party, after he was denied the party chief position in down south. He was now considering re-launching Tamil Maanila Congress founded by his father GK Moopanar.

The Congress High Command did not take Karti’s criticism well and Digvijaya Singh came out slamming him.

Without naming Karti, Singh said, “We are an inclusive party. Those who disagree with this idea can leave the party.”

“We are a political ideology which believes in liberal modern inclusive politics and inclusive economy. We believe in inclusive socio-economic policy. Anyone who doesn’t believe in this ideology can go wherever he wants to,” Singh added.

And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
