BSP will support Lokpal Bill

BSP chief Mayawati has confirmed that her party will support the Lokpal Bill in the parliament.

“Our party is not against the Lokpal Bill. If there is any need for changes in it, it should be done in public interest. But this Bill should not be stalled and there should be a debate on the issue and it should be passed in this session itself,” Mayawati said.

Meanwhile Samajwadi Party has indicated that they may allow Lokpal Bill debate and passing in Parliament despite their stand of oppose that bill.

On Monday the scheduled debate was adjourned due to former labour minister Sis Ram Ola’s demise on Sunday. The Lokpal Bill debate can be expected tomorrow. m
