Amit Shah set to become new BJP President

Former Gujarat home minister and Modi-aide Amit Shah is set to become BJP’s next President. According to the media reports, Amit Shah’s name is almost final for the post.

The BJP Parliamentary board is going to meet later this week to formally nominate Shah as party’s new president, replacing current president and home minister Rajnath Singh.

Shah became front-runner to get the post after leading his party to a landslide victory in Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha Polls.

BJP will announce Amit Shah’s name as president before Prime Minister Narendra Modi leaves for Brazil to attend the BRICS Summit.
