AgustaWestland replies to the govt’s showcause notice

AgustaWestland replied to government’s show cause notice on the cancellation of Rs 3,600 crore VVIP choppers deal and denied any misconduct.

Defence Ministry had issued show cause notice on February 15 to AgustaWestland following allegations of paying kickbacks to secure selling of 12 VVIP helicopters to India.

“We have responded to the show cause issued to us by the Indian government within the specified time frame. We have told the Indian Defence Ministry that our conduct has met the legal requirements in India and there was no wrongdoing involved in it,” an AgustaWestland spokesperson told PTI.

Meanwhile the parent company AgustaWestland , the  Finmeccanica has assured India of full cooperation in the prob.
