PM might intervene to end storm of the monsoon session

Following the havoc in the parliament since the beginning of the monsoon session, the government at the center has now said that it is ready to offer an intervention by the Prime Minister on the matters raised by the opposition. The Congress and the left have remained firm on its demands staged over Lalitgate and Vyapam scam, stalling the house repeatedly since the monsoon session has commenced.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu told The Times of India that if a debate is allowed to take place and if there is a need to do so, the Prime Minister would be prepared to make an intervention. The government appears to be considered the viewpoint stated by the majority parties, urging the ruling party to do something for ending the logjam, in a meeting called by the speaker last Friday.

The monsoon session of the parliament is to end on August 13^th and so-far very few debates and discussions have taken place in the house. Previously too, the Prime Minister had to intervene to break down the blockage in the house and let the proceedings take place appropriately.
