Karnataka HC Judge Adviced Abused Wife To Adjust Husband’s Beatings

The controversial Karnataka High Court Judge, Justice K Bhaktavatsala sparks controversy after he tells an abused woman who seeks divorce from her husband that she has to ‘adjust’ to domestic abuse and beating by her husband to save the marriage.

After the news broke, a massive outrage emerges across India over the Judge’s remarks that it is absolutely okay if a husband beats his wife provided he takes care of her. Women organizations and women lawyers across the country want his immediate elimination from the post.

K Bhaktavatsala said, “Your husband is doing good business, he will take care of you. Why are you still talking about his beatings? I know you have undergone pain. But that is nothing in front of what you undergo as a woman. I have not undergone such pain. But madam (Justice BS Indrakala) has. Ask your father if he has never beaten your mother!”

What a Shame! If the judge is racially biased then to whom the victim will go! He should be removed from his chair with immediate affect!
