FIPB Gives Amazon Permission To Open Logistics Unit In India

World’s largest online retailer Amazon has received government’s sanction to open a logistics unit in India.  This is a crucial success for Amazon as it is entering in world’s most profitable market. Currently Amazon is building a ‘fulfillment centre’ or ‘warehouse’ in Mumbai.

With the permission from the Foreign Investment Promotion Board, Amazon Asia-Pacific Resources will now invest around Rs. 15 crore to build a self owned subsidiary which will allow them to provide better courier services, the most significant tool for any online retail business.

Last week Amazon enters India via Junglee.com which is featuring products from almost all India’s top online retailers but it is not featuring Flipkart. Which means Amazon is in direct completion with Flipkart to acquire lucrative Indian market.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
