UP doctors' strike continues for fifth dayA representative from the Indian Medical Association is going to meet President Pranab Mukherjee today to inform him about the police brutality against doctors. IMA will ask President to take action against Kanpur SSP Yashaswi Yadav.

According to the reports, IMA is set to issue an ultimatum to intensify their protest across the country if the justice is not delivered by Wednesday. The situation got tensed after Kanpur IMA President Aarti Lalchandani was arrested by police yesterday on a complaint of provocating doctors.

Medical services across the state have been affected poorly with doctors from various medical colleges join the protest in demanding of immediate release of 24 junior doctors of GSV Medical College. The doctors have demanded action against Yashaswi Yadav and the SP MLA. To make the matter worst for the patient, the private doctors have also joined the strike. Around 300 teachers of a medical college here resigned on Monday to stir the protest against the arrest of doctors. Meanwhile Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav appealed the doctors to call off the strike. “The CCTV footage of whatever happened in Kanpur is available and will be probed. Officers have been asked to conduct a probe, meet representatives of both the sides and take action against those who were on the wrong side,” Yadav told reporters in Lucknow.    “The government is of the view that strike should end. It is my appeal to doctors that keeping aside their dispute they should execute their responsibilities and save human lives,” he added.

AAP leaders Kumar Vishwas and Sanjay Singh have, however, extended their support to the doctors.

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
