As France began its mourning day on Thursday, in the aftermath of the gruesome attack on satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo, and vigils, protests and marches condemning the incident went on, another shooting rocked Paris, deepening the suspicion and expanding the manhunt for the terrorists.

In this latest unfortunate episode, a policewoman and her colleague were shot at, in Southern Paris early Thursday morning, while the two were on their duty. The policewoman killed and her colleague was handling the case of a traffic accident when a car suddenly stopped and a man wearing bullet-proof vest shot the two, before fleeing away. The police officials have confirmed this killing, though they couldn’t relate it with the attack on Charlie Hebdo’s office.
