Nato strikes kills 11 children in AfghanistanIgnoring Afghan President Hamid Karzai’s repeated urges to not fire or bombard in the civilian areas, Nato on Sunday killed 11 children and a woman by an air strike, targeting Taliban in eastern Afghanistan.

Two Taliban leaders were also killed during the operation in a village in Shigal district in Kunar province.

“Eleven children and a woman were killed when an air strike hit their houses,” Wasefullah Wasefi, a spokesman for the Kunar provincial governor said.

Earlier in the day a car bomb killed five Americans a diplomat in Zabul. Taliban has claimed the responsibility.
