FIRE BROKE OUT IN DELHI, KILLED 6 AND INJURED 34

Six people died and at least 34 were injured when a fire broke out in an apartment after a cooking gas cylinder erupted in the national capital’s Gandhi Nagar area, at around 8 PM on Monday.
“The combustion thrust the walls of the house in which the cylinder detonated and the one opposite to it, and both slumped heavily”, said a senior district administrative official.
The injured were rushed to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital. Seven fire apparatus engines were hurried to the location and doused the blaze.
Delhi cylinder blast
A similar episode occurred just half an hour later in the south-eastern part of Delhi’s Ashram Chowk where a 30-year-old woman and her two daughters, identified as Mamta and Kritika (9) and Priyanka (11 months) respectively were seared to death in the building where they lived, which was gutted due to a suspected short circuit in its first floor apartment. The fire soon spread to other floors of the building after a cooking gas cylinder exploded.
Mamata and her daughters were stranded in their apartment and could not escape and were charred to death, said police.
At least 34 people were injured, of which some had jumped off their balconies, while the remaining were trying to save others.
Three people including a woman and a child bore the severe burn injuries.
The injured were rushed to Safdarjung Hospital, district administrative officials said.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
