On Monday, the Vice President of Congress, Rahul Gandhi slammed the NDA Government by saying that “The ‘Acche Din’ government has failed the country.” He accused the ruling power of neglecting the needs and importance of farmers and labourers. He said, “This government has failed the country on minimum support price and agriculture credit. The current government is a government that works for industrialists,” Rahul added.

Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Sonia Gandhi held a rally on Sunday for the farmers of India at the Ramlila Maidan. The rally was named as the ‘Kisaan Khet Mazdoor Rally’. During the speeches, the Congress accused Modi of winning the elections by taking loans from induastrialists. He said,”How did Modi win the election? By taking money from industrialists. He will repay this debt by giving your land to these industrialists. This land on which you farm is gold. In the coming years, it will become even costlier. Modi promised his industrialist friends that he would replicate this model (Gujarat model) all over India.”

He named the present government as a ‘Suit-Boot Sarkar’ and said,” “I want to give a suggestion to the PM, why doesn’t he look into the matter directly? Look into the figures correctly? Despite over 60% country being dependent on agriculture, all that we hear the government talk about is guns and fighter jet.”

After being defeated by the BJP in the general elections last year, the Congress conducted a rally and chanelled all it’s rage against the Modi government in their speeches. The NDA’s Land Acquisition Bill was brought ahead and was the most spoken topic of the rally.

Rahul Gandhi returned back after his two month long sabbatical and reappeared strongly in the the Kisaan Khet Mazdoor Rally. The rally focused on the farmers of India and how the current ruling officials are denying their importance. The accusations against Modi were strong and Gandhi made a comeback through this rally.
