Centre asks CBI to proceed against Dayanidhi Maran

According to the media reports, the NDA government has asked Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to speed up process against DMK leader and former telecom minister Dayanidhi Maran as is has already gathered enough evidence to chargesheet him in telecom kickback case.

Dayanidhi Maran is accused of taking commission from the sale of telecom firm Aircel to the Maxis Group in 2006.

According to NDTV Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi has asked CBI to file a chargesheet against Dayanidhi Maran and his brother Kalanidhi Maran in the Aircel-Maxis kickback case.
