Katrina Kaif pays Rs 4.5 crore income tax in advance

With her two blockbuster releases in 2012, ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ opposite Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif has become the most sought after actress in Bollywood.

Katrina Kaif is not only the current highest paid actress in Bollywood she has also become the highest advance tax payer actress in the industry. She has reportedly paid a tax of Rs. 4.5 Crore in advance.  

Kareena Kapoor paid Rs. 4 Crore as advance tax and Priyanka Chopra has paid Rs. 2 Crore tax in advance.

“Paying regular taxes is the right thing to do. It just enables the smooth functioning of the state and (once the taxes are done) actors like us can continue with our job of entertaining our fans,” said Katrina Kaif to a newspaper.

Akshay Kumar becomes the highest advance tax payer actor in Bollywood while Amitabh Bachchan comes second.

Katrina Kaif is currently busy shooting for the ‘Dhoom 3’ alongside Aamir Khan. She will soon start shooting for her next film, ‘Bang Bang’ opposite ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ co-star Hrithik Roshan.

“I’m so excited about working with her again, after ZNMD. She works like a man. I respect the labor she puts into her work. We are here for work and glamour is something which just comes with it,” Hrithik said in recent interview.
