Budget Session begins with high expectations

The Narendra Modi government’s first Budget Session begins today with high expectations from the new government.

The Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda will present his maiden Rail Budget on Tuesday, while Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will present the General Budget on 10 July.

While opposition parties will raise inflation, price rise and fuel hike issue in the parliament, the government is likely to give a statement on the Iraq issue.

Home minister Rajnath Singh is also expected to introduce the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Amendment Bill 2014.

BJP has claimed that the government is serious effort to bring back economy on right track.

“In legacy, we have got an empty treasury. Due to the problem in Gulf countries, the prices of oil are going up, but the avenues to earn revenues are still the same. So Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will take all the steps that have to be taken to bring back the derailed economy on track,” BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said.

Defending the rail fare hike, he said, “The opinion of Parliament was that the Railways has to be of a world class category. This decision was part of an interim budget, which has been implemented. This is not a levy that we have imposed on our own.”

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
