Movie Review: The Body

Cast: Emraan Hashmi, Rishi Kapoor, Vedika Kumar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Rukhsaar
Director: Jeethu Joseph

On hearing the news about the abduction of a dead body from a morgue, the police department came to the hospital to find out the truth behind the abduction. The dead body belonged to a powerful business woman Maya Varma who died because of heart attack in the morning, the day her body was kidnapped. When the investigation started the appointed officer called for the lady’s husband to the hospital. The news of his wife’s dead body being kidnapped did not give him much sorrow and he wanted to get it out as soon as possible. Later his relationship with another woman came to light when he was running out of the hospital and was punched by the officer.

‘The Body’ is a semi-paranormal movie as Ajay Puri aka Emraan Hashmi was sensing the presence of his dead wife and her friend Tony D’Souza. The movie becomes more interesting towards the end when things start falling into place and the reason behind Maya Verma’s death comes out. Ajay Puri had poisoned her but after seeing her few times came to a conclusion that she was not dead. Now the question arises whether she was actually dead or she faked her death. Is Ajay Puri the real murderer or someone else is involved in this case?

This thriller and suspense movie will give you goosebumps with the scenes it has and will blow your mind with the climax. A must watch movie for all the Emraan Hashmi fans and the people interested in thriller movies.
