Nelson Mandela hospitalised with Lung Infection

Former South African President Nelson Mandela has been admitted to hospital again on late Wednesday with lung infection, President’s office announced on Thursday morning.

Nelson Mandela admitted in hospital with Lung Infection“Doctors are attending to him, ensuring that he has the best possible expert medical treatment and comfort,” the government’s spokesman Mac Maharaj said in a statement.

“We appeal to the people of South Africa and the world to pray for our beloved Madiba and his family and to keep them in their thoughts. We have full confidence in the medical team and know that they will do everything possible to ensure recovery.” President Jacob Zuma said in a statement.

The 94-year-old recipient of Nobel Peace Prize, Nelson Mandela spent around 18 days in a hospital last December for a lung infection and gallstones.
