Aman Jakhar’s Book Review – ‘Flirting With Fate’

‘Flirting With Fate’ is the debut novel by Preeti Singh. And this is the first time I read something different from the league as I am fed up of reading love stories.

Flirting With FateIt is a story that revolves around the protagonist- Anand, who was abandoned by his parents and left at an orphanage.  Author has developed the character of Anand in the book since his childhood and it looked almost real. As he slowly grew up, He starts committing crimes to get the things he wanted in life. Title itself tells all about the story. How many crimes he does to get love… acceptance… happiness…

Did he get accepted? Did he find love… happiness? How karma does return ? To know what happened next, Go and read the book.

Now, Review Time –

Praise –

As a first time writer, Preeti Singh has done an outstanding job. She has left a very good impression in the mind of the readers with her very first book itself. It never seemed like it is her first book as it fully filled by humor, thrill, love and lust. I just loved the way she has described every scene. Every character in book is perfectly described that it almost looks real. The reader feels connected to it. And one more central character of the book is dog Fluffy. What and how he thinks is very humorous and well described. I laughed out loud on every expression and dialogue of him. I kept turning pages. The last Part of the story was really unexpected and emotional.  It kept readers fully engrossed in this book.

Flaws –

The book has a very few mistakes but they can be ignored as you’ll find yourself highly engrossed in book. No more such flaws can be seen as it is written is perfect English. It seems like you’re reading any of Chetan Bhagat or Durjoy Datta’s book.

Verdict –

A Gripping book which doesn’t allow the reader to keep the book down until you finishes reading it. I would like to rate this crime – thriller 3.5/5 . You will enjoy it. I highly recommend this book to everyone and especially to those who fed up of reading love – stories.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
