Sidhharth All Excited About Ittefaq Remake!
Rutuja Bhosle, Authors, BookWorms, 0
It really becomes challenging for actors when they have to step in the shoes of legendary artistes for a film ‘remake’. The hot hunk of Bollywood, Siddharth Malhotra, is going through the same phase currently. 60s film Ittefaq is still etched in the minds of cinebuffs, and a revamped version of same is in the making. Two prominent names of Bollywood, late Rajesh Khanna and Nanda had left a strong impression with their unusual acting caliber. Now, Siddharth has been chosen to carry the legacy ahead as he is all set to take up the role which Rajesh Khanna essayed back in the original film. About this new project, Siddharth told IANS, “I am extremely excited for ‘Ittefaq’. It is a remake of the super-hit 1969 film ‘Ittefaq.’ The benchmark for me has already been set as superstar Rajesh Khanna was a part of the film back then, and I have to match up to his acting abilities in this remake.” Siddharth, who has delivered solid roles in each of his films till now, believes that the unique script of Ittefaq will give him an opportunity to try new perspective as an actor. The film will be produced by Dharma Productions, Red Chillies and BR Films. The movie showcases an artist`s dilemma between his strong passion for art and family relations, which get him caught amidst an enigmatic whirlpool, further giving a rise to murder mystery thriller. The actor is currently busy shooting in Miami with Jacqueline Fernandez. In a short span of time, Sid has won millions of hearts with his charming personality as well as his talent! Undoubtedly, he is going to take up this challenge too in a brilliant way!
