With an area of around 180 sq km, the hilly terrain of Hazaribagh National Park is located in Jharkhand. It has a thick topical cover along with small 
rivers and number of little dams that form artificial lakes within the park.
It is proposed to be announced as a state-of-art Elephant park. Tigers, bears, sambhars, nilgaietc are the local inhabitants. Best time to visit is from October to March.
The area is accessible and strategically located for motorists such that they can have a field view of the wild life. Many watch towers have been built which act as hideouts to watch the animals in their natural habitat. Palamau forest reserve is a local sight-seeing spot.
