Exudos meaning a mass departure of people. This story is about departure of Hebrew population from Egypt.This is the story of Moses and the way he rescued the Hebrew population and let them out of Egypt.
We all knew the story of Moses. But this is an different approach to remind us that old story.
The movie starts with a war preparation with Moses and Ramesses to lead the attack of Egypt against Hittite Army (Hebrews). The high Priest and the father of Ramessis, Seti foretold about a prophecy that either one of Ramessis or Moses would save the other one and will be eligible to be the next ruler. And accordingly in the battle Moses rescued Ramessis, but the 
later didn’t disclose it.
Ramessis became the next king of Egypt. Moses came to know about his Hebrew descendancy and was banished to roam in the desert of Egypt. Though Ramessis didn’t hoped Moses to survive the crueld deserts of Egypt still he was rescued. And he met Jethro and his daughter Zipporah in Midian. Soon he got married to Zipporah and had a son Gershom.
Moses for 9 years lead a life of nomad and a shepherd until one day in a stormy night chasing his ships he went near a burning bush and met a boy Malak, who was God himself. God ordered moses to go back to Egypt and rescue his Hebrew brothers.
Moses soon moved to Egypt united the slaves and taught them the art of warfare. Malak reappeared before Moses and told him that 10 plagues will occur in Egypt. And soon after the water of Nile turned red with blog. There was frogs, toads, lice and flies. Swarm, locust destroying crops. The sky raining rocks and fires.
Moses then confronted Ramessis and asked him to free the slaves or else warned him about the plagues. Ramessis didn’t listen to him.Moses ordered the Hebrews to cover their doors with the blood of the lambs to stay protected from the rage of the God. Ramessis suffered the wrath of the God and his first born died. Whole Egypt was covered in darkness.
After that Ramessis allowed the Hebrew leave. But on the way he decided to attack them. But the ocean tide rose and swept away all the Egyptians.
Moses then lead his people and his family back to their land and gave them 10 paths to follow and live their life on those principles.
We all know this story. The movie “Ten commandments” has shown everything.But what was different here was that Moses was not performing those miracles as being mentioned in every story. Instead it was God who was doing it. Moses was shown as a leader and not as a miracle man. Though it is not first time it has been done. Hollywood has shown a different angle to most of the popular Pagan mythological stories. Be it the story of Hercules or Pegasus or the Greek great Gods Zues, Poseidon, Hades. Hollywood has tried to show them as mortal. If there is any motive behind it, I am unaware of that but experimentation in any subject is always welcome.
Coming back to the movie. It was slow. And it appeared the the character of the Moses was not properly built. The pain of the burden of slave’s blood was lacking. None of the actors had got that significant role to mesmerize the audience. Actor like Christian Bell could have made much more impact in the movie.

The graphics was good. Particularly when the ocen rose and swept away the Egyptian Army is worth mentioning. Still, as a whole I find the movie bit disappointing.
