Filmfare Awards 2013

Anurag Basu’s’ Barfi’, Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Kahaani’ – these three films dominated the prestigious 58th Idea Filmfare awards at YRF studios in Mumbai on Sunday.

Barfi gets most awards in the night followed by Kahaani. While Barfi won the Best Film awards, Sujoy Ghosh gets Best Director award for his thriller Kahaani.

Ranbir Kapoor won Best actors male award for ‘Barfi’ and Vidya Balan received Best actors female for ‘Kahaani’.

F or Best Actors in a Supporting Role – Male and Female – Anushka Sharma won for ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ and Annu Kapoor for ‘Vicky Donor’.

Pritam won Best Music Director award for ‘Barfi’. Veteran Gulzar won the Best Lyrics award for Challa in Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Shalmali Kholgade received the Filmfare Award for the Best Female Playback Singer for the song Pareshaan in ‘Ishaqzaade’ and Ayushmann Khurrana won Best Male Playback Singer award for the song Paani Da Rang in ‘Vicky Donor’.

Ayushmann Khurrana also won the Best Debut award for ‘Vicky Donor’ while Ileana D’cruz clinched Best Female Debutant award for her portrayal in Barfi.

‘English Vinglish’ director Gauri Shinde gets Best Debut Director award.

Irrfan Khan received The Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor award for his epic role in Paan Singh Tomar and Richa Chaddha won Best Actress award in the same category for Gangs Of Wasseypur. Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs Of Wasseypur also won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Film.

Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award  was given to Late Yash Chopra.
