Banjo keeps Eros International’s trend of unusual pairing and will see the exciting pairing of Riteish and Nargis sharing the screen space for the first time.

Banjo is not just a story… it’s a journey in which someone crosses seven seas to meet her dreams. And some reach their hearts to meet themselves. Orchestrated by a destiny, a DJ from US meets a Banjo party from Mumbai. Together, they take the leap, they fly, they rise, they stumble and they stand again.

Speaking on the new venture, Producer Krishika Lulla said, “Banjo is a musical drama focusing on Banjo music bands and their struggle to survive in today’s world. Though we all know banjo bands exist in our society since several decades but nobody ever thought of making a film focusing on them. Eros is proud to have associated with director Ravi Jadhav who has come up with a brilliant story around Banjo players.”

Director Ravi Jadhav said, “For almost four years, I was toying with the idea of making a film on street musicians and I’m grateful to Eros for their support to make this film. I narrated the subject of Banjo to Riteish almost four years back and he suggested me to make this film in Hindi. I’m thankful to Eros to have fulfilled my dream – Banjo!

??On the occasion said Riteish Deshmukh, “Banjo is an exciting film. Ravi and I go back a long way. We have made Balak Palak (Marathi movie) together and I’m so glad that he took the right decision of making a Hindi film. I’m very excited to be part of Banjo in which I play a street musician and also the fact that it’s my first authentic Maharashtrian character in a Hindi film.”

Produced by Eros International and directed by Ravi Jadhav, the first schedule of Banjo, starring Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri has commenced in Mumbai.
