Known for its natural beauty, Mount Abu is the only hill station in Rajasthan, located at height of 1220 meter from the sea level. Mount Abu is situated on the pinnacle peak of Arravali Hills and is surrounded by Thick Forests. In the heart of the city lies “Naaki Lake”, according to mythology it is said that the lake was scratched out of fingernails. Many mythological stories and history rests in the old architecture of Mount Abu. “Dilwara Temple”-one of the renowned places for Jain in India is an attraction for tourist because of its amazing architecture. Not just temples and historical places, Mount Abu also has something for adventure lovers. There are many wildlife thrills, caves and treks one can undertake at Mount Abu. Like an oasis in dessert, Mount Abu with its amazing scenic beauty and chill weather attracts millions of tourist every year.

By Air: Udaipur domestic airport is the nearest airport to Mount Abu at a distance of 185 km. Taxis, buses and trains are available from Udaipur to reach Mount Abu. Ahmedabad International Airport is 221 km from Mount Abu and has lots of connectivity with this popular weekend place.

By Train: Abu Road railway station 28 KM from the city and well connected with New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Mumbai. You will get bus, taxi and private cars outside the station to reach Mount Abu.

By Road: Regular bus services connect Mount Abu with the major cities in India through national highway no. 14. You will get lots of roadways option to reach Mount Abu from the other major cities of Rajasthan. From Udaipur which is 167 km from Mount Abu has many direct buses are available for this magnificent hill station. From Delhi which is almost 734 km away has direct bus link with Mount Abu. It takes about 10 hours to reach here.

Abu Road is nearby beautiful small town. Brahma Kumaris Spiritual University is also located in Mount Abu. Ambaji Temple, one of the most sacred temples of Hindus located near Mount Abu and is known as one of the 51 Shaktipeeths.

 Best time to visit: You can visit Mount Abu throughout the year but try to avoid midsummer. The best tourist season in Mt. Abu is from February to April and August to Nov ember
